Police Ramp Up Patrols at Annie Guthrie’s Home Over YouTuber Harassment

Nancy Guthrie, Savannah Guthrie’s mom, is still missing. She was taken from her Tucson-area home back at the end of January — it’s been over three months now with no sign of her.

The big recent news is a public spat: FBI Director Kash Patel said on a podcast yesterday that the Pima County Sheriff’s Office kept the FBI out for the first four days, delaying things like fast DNA testing.

The sheriff’s pushing back, saying they looped in the feds right away, and reporters are saying cooperation has improved since then.

DNA from her house, including hairs, is still being analyzed — some of it’s not new, but it’s being worked. No arrests, and tips are still coming in. There’s a million-dollar reward out there. It’s a tough one.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office ramped up patrols in both Nancy Guthrie’s neighborhood and Annie Guthrie’s area back in mid-April.

It’s mainly because residents, including Annie, complained about harassment from YouTubers, streamers, and citizen journalists who were trespassing and bothering people.

As of just a day or two ago, those extra patrols are still going on in Annie’s neighborhood. No connection to new evidence or breakthroughs in finding Nancy — it’s purely to keep the peace around the family.
